I am grateful for....

I am grateful for.....

1. Leo. He is such a strength for our family. He is a hard worker. He is a wonderful father and the best husband.

2. Our three beautiful children.

  • Lucas is such a sweet boy who truly cares for his family and friends. He is so smart and funny. He loves his Play Station, sweet and sour chicken and his cousins.
  • Kayla is a little raging ball of fire. She is constantly keeping us on our toes. She loves barbies, princesses, macaroni and cheese and playing girl stuff with anyone.
  • Marcus is such a sweet, happy boy. He makes us so happy and fits perfectly in our little family. He loves his brother and sister, FOOD and to smile.

3. Our Savior. I am grateful for eternal families, the Atonement and the gospel.

4. TRIALS. As much as I hate them, I too am grateful for them. They strenghten me and of course are great lesson in humility.

5. My parents. They have been supportive from day one. They are always willing to help anyway possible and for that I am truly grateful.

6. Our health. Everything may seem like it's falling apart but at least we have our health!!

7. The opportunity I have to be a wife and mother. (it's almost the same as the first two). I love having an eternal companion that I can share everything with. I love getting to raise three (and more someday) of our Heavenly Father's children and knowing that He is trusting me to do this important job.

I am thankful for so many more things. I thought I would just tell a few of them to you. Thank you for allowing me to share them with you!

Halloween 2009

This little orange outfit is from Aunt Becky and Uncle Travis. Thanks. He sure looks cute.

We had a great Halloween except for Kayla being very sick. She has had a fever of 101-103 for the last couple of days. It hit her on Friday night at about 8:00 she just told me she didn't feel well and her fever was already at 103. Great. I had appointments to get the flu shots for Monday too.
But anyway, we took her out for a little bit. (She barely lasted an hour.) Leo came home with Marcus and Kayla and Lucas and I went out alone. It was a little spooky because whatever street we went on, we seemed to be the only trick or treaters out and a lot of our neighbors weren't home or just left candy on the doorstep. Lucas and I lasted about another hour and decided to call it quits. But don't worry they both got plenty of candy!!
Lucas: Superman
Kayla: Wonder Woman
Marcus: The Devil

Flag Football

Well our first year of flag football has come and gone. I think that Lucas and Leo both enjoyed themselves. Leo offered to be an assistant coach but at the last minute they told him that he was going to be the coach, the ONLy coach.

All I can say is...parents are brutal to the coach so I, being the person that I am, told many of them that it isn't the easiest job trying to coach 12 six year olds and if one of them would like to go out there and help I bet Leo would love it. After that no one talked to me for the rest of the season. Oh well, a girl's gotta defend her husband right?!?!

Delicious

Don't these apple look simply scrumptious? This last weekend we went to Idaho and helped my parents with various activities. One was picking apples. This has been their best crop yet. They had several branches that were loaded with apples. There was at least 15 good apples on this tiny little branch in the pictures.
I plan to make applesauce, apple cobbler, caramel apples and whatever else comes to me. Remember I said I PLAN to which usually means I won't. But here's hoping!!

Lucas vs. the Ball

So maybe we are bad parents but this has got to be the funniest thing EVER!!! Lucas and Leo were throwing the ball at each other, mind you it wasn't suppose to be hard, but it hit Lucas just right and we have been laughing for days.

Lucas and his cousins

Lucas loves his cousins. I think that if he had a choice he would want to move to Idaho probably next door to the Terry's. Whatever Zack and Mason do you can bet he will want to do it too. There is an open field next to my parents house that actually was the place where my grandparents house once stood the kids love the ride their motorcycles there so they gave Lucas a ride and even let him ty it himself.
When we were little that open field actually had the foundation from my grandparents house still accessible. My cousin Mary and I use to go over and play it in. Now it is completely covered with dirt probably because it was a huge accident waiting to happen. At least now it is a great place for the kids to ride.
